The 2009 Annual Conference of the International Association of Commercial Administrators (IACA) is quickly approaching. The IACA Conference is the marquee event for government commercial administrators to meet, share information, and collaborate on best practices.
The 2009 Conference will be held Sunday, May 17th, through Thursday, May 21st, at the Grand Hyatt in downtown Denver, Colorado.
The theme of the 2009 Conference is “Crossing the Divide: Services in an e‐World”. This theme invokes developing filing office strategies to overcome obstacles regarding legal frameworks, technology, and customer support.
The Conference will feature speakers from the World Bank Group, a seminar on how to use Web tools to promote communication and collaboration, and a panel to discuss strategies for dealing with economic difficulties.
Breakout sessions will address current business organizations and secured transactions e‐filing and legislative developments. Key sessions will include a discussion of the recently introduced Incorporation Transparency and Law Enforcement Assistance Act and the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws’ developments regarding amending Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code.
Finally, the Conference will include great networking events and a vender showcase where members can learn about new technologies and services available to government agencies.
