CC Intelligent Solutions Recognized by One of the Nation’s Leading Business Weeklies

North Carolina’s Triangle Business Journal Profiles CCIS: “Answering the Call of Duty”

In an article in its April 4th issue, the Triangle Business Journal tracks the progress of CCIS, from a small IT staffing company to a leader in IT solutions development and integration for clients in the defense, national security, intelligence, and civil government markets with over 60 employees and $10 million in annual revenue.

As the article points out, the customer that helped start it all, shortly after the Global War on Terror began, is the US military. FusionNet, CCIS’ first major solution, was co-sponsored by the US Army’s XVIII Airborne Corps and the Office of the Secretary of Defense and used to track events in the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. CCIS takes special pride in the comments of Col. Tim Kokinda (Ret.), who stated that the software CCIS created saved lives in those conflicts. For CCIS—with a staff that includes veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan and current employees who have come under fire while implementing and supporting our software solutions in combat zones —Col. Kokinda’s words are every bit as important as our financial success. In addition to the military, CCIS serves clients in civil government at the federal, state, and municipal levels. Some of CCIS’ major clients in this area include the States of North Carolina and North Dakota, the District of Columbia, and the Federal Aviation Administration. Jim McManus, application development manager for North Carolina’s Secretary of State, characterized the company’s work for his office as “first class” and “above expectations.”

Since its inception in 2001, the company’s success has been based on a few guiding principles. CCIS acts as a trusted advisor with recent and relevant expertise in technology and subject matter. We collaborate closely with our end-users in their working environment, whether that is in an office or on the battlefield, and focus on quickly and continuously delivering practical, cost-effective solutions focused on their needs while building on a solid foundation of enterprise-ready technology. CCIS’ Team Agile Process™ methodology blends the best features of the agile and plan-driven approaches to solutions development and we emphasize re-use of off-the-shelf and in-house platforms, packages, patterns, and code to minimize the crucial factors of time-to-market, cost, and risk.
